Due to racism and negative depictions against beautiful women of African descent, I created this serigraph in dedication to their strength and perseverance to withstand the most mental and savage enslavement system ever inflicted upon humans. They are mothers of all humankind. This serigraph has approximately forty colors. I used a screen printing technique that allowed me to developed multiple stencils with one screen instead of forty screens. This photograph was taken during the Tougaloo Art Colony at Tougaloo College in Tougaloo, Mississippi. This is Mrs. Johnson of New Orleans, Louisiana.
